Leadership Team Bios
Lynne W. Gassant, MS-HRM, Executive Director: Lynne founded Scholar Career Coaching in December of 2012 to coach, motivate, and support college-bound students, with a focus on English as a Second Language. Grew up in Haiti, Lynne is a first generation college student and the first in family to complete a college education. She received her Master of Science in Human Resources from Florida International University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Management from Florida Atlantic University. With her 10+ years of experience in Human Resources and Business, she’s the Managing Director and HR Business Partner at Virtual HR & Company, LLC. She has completed numerous courses and trainings in nonprofit management, grant writing, volunteer management, recruitment, onboarding, managing talents, and many others. Lynne was nominated and proudly selected by Volunteer Florida in August 2017 for the Champion of Service Award. The Award was presented to her by Governor Rick Scott and the Florida Cabinet. In 2018, she was humbly chosen for the Alumni MLK Leadership Award presented by Palm Beach State College. In addition, she received the MLK Jr.’s Drum Major Innovation Service from the Department of Education in Washington, D.C in 2018. Lynne has a deep passion for education and youth. Hence, she is constantly striving to make a positive impact in the community. She is a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority and an active member of Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).
Sara McManus, Program & Special Projects Support: Sara McManus is a federal work study student working at Scholar Career Coaching, She is a senior at Lynn University majoring in advertising and public relations with a minor in multimedia journalism. From a small town in the Finger Lakes Region of New York, Sara chose Lynn because of the warm Florida weather and sunshine. She aspires to become a broadcast journalist after college. When she is not in classroom or working, you can find her at the beach, hanging out with friends or exercising.
Semline Delva, M.Ed., Volunteer Lead Mentor Engagement: Semline Delva is a Student Affairs Professional at Kennesaw State University. Born and raised in Florida, Semline received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and her Masters’ degree from Florida Atlantic University. She is now a Doctoral student at Kennesaw State University. She hopes to continue her work and passion for social justice and civic engagement. While attending FAU, Semline became a mentor with Scholar Career Coaching at Boynton Beach Community High School. Her experience has to lead her to continue to give back to her community. She now serves as the President of the Metro-Atlanta Professional Chapter of SISTUH, Inc. which is a community service-based organization. Semline is a proud Haitian-American who believes in lifting as she climbs to create spaces for the next generation to thrive.
Ken You Morisseau, M.Ed., Mentoring & Volunteer Coordinator: Ken You recently joined Scholar Career Coaching’s staff as a Mentoring & Volunteer Coordinator and is a two-time graduate of Florida Atlantic University, holding an M.Ed in Higher Educational Leadership and B.A. in Psychology. Most recently served as a Graduate Assistant for the Urban Male Initiative program at Florida Atlantic University, Ken You has amassed a uniquely diversified portfolio within various sectors of Higher Education. He has taken active roles and leadership positions within various student organizations during his collegiate career, such as, Progressive Black Men, Inc. and the Upsilon Theta chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, where served on executive boards. Utilizing these experiences from both his undergraduate and graduate-level experiences, he has fortified his passions and understanding of purpose when creating meaningful, lasting relationships with others in ways that can help broaden everyone’s perspective on self, community, and potential. In his free time, Ken You likes to read poetry and listen to R&B and Afro Beats.
